Lauren H. Ramers

Instructor, Facilitator, PhD Candidate

Lauren H. Ramers is adjunct faculty in the Department of Learning and Teaching and a doctoral student in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego. Her research interests include education reform, social justice in K-12 education, teacher education for diverse populations, and pedagogy research. She hopes to inspire educators to become resident researchers who investigate innovative solutions that remove barriers to learning for all students. She is a former high school teacher, Director of Professional Learning, and international education consultant, having studied education reform in Ireland, India, and Australia. Lauren finds stillness in nature, with her family around the fire, when she writes (her personal blog can be found here), and in the solitude of her mantra meditation practice.

The Conscious Leadership Academy

founded as The Leadership Institute in 2001, brings an innovative approach to leadership development. Based on the premise that leadership can be taught, and the belief that people learn best by doing, our team of coaches, facilitators, and faculty use an experiential methodology to help people expand their thinking, explore patterns and habits, and creatively strengthen their ability to make a positive difference in the world.
